Bio-Mechanical Analysis
The bio-mechanical analysis is a pivotal assessment for every athletes career. Each athlete is a little different in body size, movement, and pitching mechanics. By getting a complete breakdown of everything you’re able to identify areas of weakness that could be resulting in injury and/or decreased performance.
Pitchers can be successful with less than perfect mechanics but unfortunately it’s only a matter of time before the body starts breaking down and injuries start setting in. If a pitcher is planning on training with intensity and focusing heavily on velocity then they better have a great idea about how their body is moving.
Our in-depth biomechanical analysis will consist of checking joint ranges of motion, neuromuscular stability in areas that pitchers must have to stay healthy, as well as checking pitching biomechanics to assure that there isn’t any problematic dysfunctional movement. The goal is to eliminate any energy leaks so that the whole body is being used optimally.
An important part of the assessment is to measure force and stressors on the body to make sure that we’re training in a safe parameter. We’re able to do this using sensors that can measure arm stress and also high speed cameras that allow us to slow the pitching sequence down to almost 1000 frames per second.
Don’t just guess, assess.
